MY ART

One way that I explore my “post-postmodern Christian” faith is through my art. I seek out traditional Christian symbols that arrest my soul, but yet don’t quite express my understanding of God. I play with the designs; I pray with the designs. I seek out pieces of wood with which I can have a relationship with, and together we feel out my theology. Sometimes this partnership, between the wood and me, can take many months and many cups of coffee, but eventually we arrive at an understanding of my theology.

These art pieces are not decorations. They are the process of my meditations. Each one has layers of symbolism which I would like to share with you. I shall do so in my blog.
